In a matter of days, the flag football team’s season goal has changed from “play 19” to “win 19.” The Knights will be battling Seminole Ridge Community High School in the state final game.

This will be the first time since 1979 that a Robinson High School athletic team will participated in a state final game. Seminole Ridge has won the state championships the past two seasons.

The Knights and the Hawks are both going into the state final with undefeated records. The Hawks hold the top seed in Florida while the Knights are ranked at No. 2.

On Thursday afternoon, the Knights traveled to Tallahassee, Fla, to defeat Harmony High School in the state quarter finals by a score of 46-0. On Saturday, they defeated Godby High School by a score of 7-0 in the state semifinal game.

The game is scheduled to begin at 7p.m. in Gene Cox’s Stadium in Tallahassee, Fla.
