Taylor Named Finalist for Coach of the Week

Bailey Adams, Sports Editor

After his team’s 7-0 overtime victory over King last week, Robinson head coach Shawn Taylor has been named a nominee for the Buccaneers High School Coach of the Week.

The victory, which improved Robinson’s record to 3-2 on the year, came against a Lions team that was coming off of a 14-11 victory over Hillsborough. Tied heading into overtime, it took a three-yard touchdown run by Jarvis Ramsey (’18) for the Knights to come out on top.

Taylor is up against Eric Meyer (Plant City), Dominick Ciao (Berkeley Prep) and Adam Hill (Blake). The winner will be given a $1,000 grant for their football program.
