Baseball 

The Knights (17-9) advanced to next Tuesday’s regional semifinal with a 9-0 victory at Zephyrhills (14-14) on Wednesday night. Killian McCray (’17) led the way with three hits and two runs scored while Michael Tini (’16) threw five shutout innings on the mound. Robinson will head to Jesuit (23-5) next Tuesday, playing for the right to move on to the regional finals. First pitch is set for 7 p.m. at Hyer Family Park (4701 N Himes Ave, Tampa, FL 33614).

Boys Track

Athletes who qualified from districts competed at the 3A-3 regional track meet at Charlotte High School Wednesday. Results are as follows: Dannys Marrero (’16), seventh in the 1600m run with a 4:37.20; Daniel McIntosh (’19), tenth in the 3200m run with a 10:39.81; Keldric Preston (’16), eleventh in the shot put with a 41-11.00 and third in the discus with a 147-00.00; and Michael Mack (’16), tenth in the discus with a 125-06.00. With his top four finish, Preston qualified in the discus and will compete next Saturday, May 7 at IMG Academy (5500 34th St W, Bradenton, FL 34210) in the FHSAA 3A Track & Field State Championships.

Girls Track

Athletes who qualified from districts competed at the 3A-3 regional track meet at Charlotte High School Wednesday. Results are as follows: the girls 4x800m relay, sixth with a 9:57.81; the girls 4×400 relay, sixteenth with a 4:23.88; Vivika Sheppard (’18), tenth in the 800m run with a 2:29.21; April Ryckman (’17), seventh in the 400m dash with a 1:00.31; and Claire Casper (’17), twelfth in the pole vault with a 8-06.00. No girls track athletes qualified for the state meet next Saturday.

Flag Football

The Knights (13-1) cinched their fifth consecutive district title with a 47-0 win over Chamberlain Monday in the district semifinals and a 39-12 win over Brooks DeBartolo in the district finals on Wednesday. The team will face 1A-8 champion Northeast Friday, May 6 in the regional semifinals. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. at Jack Peters Field (6311 S. Lois Ave, 33616).
