Monday afternoon, baseball head coach Kevin McCray hosted a meeting for all interested in participating in fall ball, a preseason league where hopeful players can get extra practice and prepare for the spring season. They also will condition as a team at Explosive Performance (1635 North Tampa St, 33602).

“The purpose of fall ball is to get ready for spring so our team is prepared for the upcoming season.” said McCray. “It’s a good way for players to get extra reps.”

The meeting covered the team’s upcoming PDQ gift card fundraiser and all mandatory paperwork that needs to be filled out in order to play this fall.

The tryout date for fall ball is not yet finalized, but McCray said tryouts should be held around Aug. 24. Students with questions should see McCray in room 145.
