On senior night, the Lady Knights defended their home court, sweeping the Durant Cougars 25-12, 25-15 and 26-24. Before the game, the Knight’s six seniors – Emma Duffey, Maggie McKee, Samantha Verdisco, Laura Hill, Emily Draper and McKenna Tyson – were honored with a short presentation.

“I love these seniors, they’re a great group of girls,” Coach Stephanie Turner said. “They really do care about each other on and off the court. They’re just an awesome group of girls.”

Draper, a captain, finished with 32 digs, with McKee totaling 27 assists. Kristin Werdine (’19) rounded up 13 kills and Hill recorded up stats all over the board with an ace, 20 digs and six kills.

“It’s finally my senior night, it’s my final home game. It hasn’t really hit me yet,” Hill said. “I’m really going to miss my teammates, it’s amazing to be a part of this program with them.”

Robinson (14-4-1) closes out its regular season against the Plant Panthers (18-1) next Thursday. First serve is set for 6 pm. at Plant High School (2415 S. Himes Avenue, 33629).
