When Craig Everhart accepted the head coaching position for the 2018-2019 football season, many people thought that this year would be a comeback season for Robinson following last year’s 3-5 record. The Preseason Classic matchup against Tampa Catholic on Friday, August 17, played true to that belief. Although the Knights ultimately lost 36-15, the comeback mentality was there as they took the lead at two points throughout the night. The Crusaders took the lead early in the first quarter but a safety and a drive down the field gave the Knights a 15-14 lead heading into halftime. But, they were shut down on offense for the entire second half and gave up another three touchdowns. The Knights play Leto in the first regular season game of the season at Leto High School (4409 W Sligh Ave, 33614).
