Boys Soccer:

The Knights (0-2) started off their season on a low note this week with two shutouts. Robinson faced Sickles (1-0-1) in their season opener on Tuesday, Nov. 13, and lost 5-0. They then faced Plant (2-0), their South Tampa rival, on Thursday, Nov. 15, only to lose 6-0.

“The two losses were against respectable teams but building chemistry is a process,” Captain Ryan Wind (’19) said. “Looking on the rest of the season, I feel confident in what we can do.”

The Knights next face Steinbrenner (1-0-1) on Monday, Nov. 26, in the Wharton Invitational held at Wharton High School (20150 Bruce B Downs Blvd, 33647).

Girls Soccer:

Robinson (0-2) got off on a rough start to their season with two losses in their first week of play. They lost to Sickles (1-1) in their home opener 4-1 on Tuesday, Nov. 13, and then were shutout by Plant (4-0) 6-0 on Thursday, Nov. 15. Jalyssa Richardson (’19) scored the lone goal of the season so far.

“With a new coach and new players, these first two games allowed us to learn each other’s playing styles,” Captain Sophia Bailey (’19) said. “I think our season will improve as our chemistry grows.”

The Lady Knights  next play Jefferson (0-2) on Thursday, November 29, at Robinson High School (6311 S Lois Ave, 33616).
