With Robinson’s volleyball team beating Land O’Lakes on Wednesday, Oct. 28, the team has advanced to the regional finals game against Port Charlotte.

According to MaxPreps, Robinson has an overall record of 14-5-0 while Port Charlotte has an overall record of 12-16-0. Despite Robinson having more wins, Port Charlotte has played more games. This make an interesting matchup between the two teams. Captain Katie Kemp (’21) recognizes the talent of both teams and knows Robinson is ready to play.

“Our team is as prepared as we can be. Obviously, we cannot know everything Port Charlotte will bring, but we are excited to play them and hopefully adapt to anything on our side of the net,” Kemp said.

All season long, these group of girls have been working hard, putting in so much effort to make the team preform at a top rate. Everyone has been playing and giving 110% into the game, wanting to be better and win.

Last year, Robinson faced Port Charlotte in the regional semifinals game, but lost. This year, the team feeling prepared and ready to win.

“Our team’s better this year than we were last year. So we’re hoping for the best,” Coach Saunders said.

Robinson and Port Charlotte will face off against each other on Saturday, Oct. 31 at 2 in Port Charlotte. If Robinson wins, they advance to play in the state semifinals, a series the team hasn’t been to in years. The team has high hopes and will be playing their absolute best Saturday afternoon.
