Get hype for Friday’s Break the Silence game.

The annual Robinson High School “Break the Silence” is a home game that moves to spread awareness on the fight against domestic violence. The concept of the game is the crowd stays silent until the ninth point is scored by Robinson’s boys basketball team to represent the women in the U.S. domestically abused every nine seconds. The movement started at Robinson eight years ago and remains a school tradition.

This year’s game will be played against Brandon HS on Jan. 21 starting at 8 p.m. in the Robinson gymnasium. The first 100 students to arrive will receive a free “Break the Silence” t-shirt.
