On Jan. 13, the girls soccer team capped off a very late Tuesday night with a 4-0 victory over Gulf High School.
Before kickoff, the team honored its seniors during Senior Night. Each senior walked onto the field with her family as fans applauded. Balloons and flowers were presented while an announcer recognized each player’s time with the program and her future plans beyond high school.
Once play began, the team set the pace early and maintained control throughout the match. The offense capitalized on scoring opportunities, while the defense held Gulf scoreless for the entire game. Strong communication in the back line and steady goalkeeping secured the shutout.
“We wanted to win this one for our seniors and end the night the right way,” said Sophia Rodriguez ’26. “Everyone played with a lot of heart.”
The evening concluded with emotional embraces as seniors said goodbye to their teammates, closing out their final home game with a dominant performance.
