On April 1, the Robinson Softball team faced off against Osceola High School. Even though the scores didn’t fall in their favor with a 2-5 loss, the team still feels like they played well, and that the season will get better.
“This season has been great!” Maddy Satin (’27), the team’s catcher, said. “We have improved so much, and I think we are definitely going to be able to continue winning games and continue to improve.”
With quick throws and great plays in the outfield, the team’s chemistry was clear. Every inning showed squad that understood each other, and not only as players.
“As a team we’re all really close,” Satin said. “I feel like we are really bonded this year which allows us to read one another well, and make the plays that we need to make.”
That bond has been one of the leading causes of their progress this season. Even during a tough game, the team’s energy never dipped: dugout cheers and support for one another staying high.
The games loss doesn’t reflect the clear growth and teamwork, which will lead the girls on to a strong season ahead. The Knights have their next game on April 10 against Plant, where they will hopefully take home a win.
