Ariana Grande has been a public figure for over ten years. From her starring role as Cat, on the hit Nickelodeon show “Victorious”, to playing Charlotte in “13: The Musical” on Broadway, to being an international pop star. Over the years, Grande has released eight different perfume scents—the most recent fragrance being God Is A Woman, but what about makeup?

On Sep. 10, Grande made a promotional Instagram post on a new account, @r.e.m.beauty, captioned “greetings”. This sparked a wildfire of excited fans and critics ready for the launch. On the R.e.m Beauty Instagram account and “The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon”, Grande announced that the collection will be available for purchase Friday, Nov. 12.

There are to be four different “Chapters” to the makeup line. The first one that will be dropping soon is called “Chapter 1 – Ultraviolet.” The collection will consist of products such as eyeshadow, eyeliner, mascara, lip glosses, lipsticks, lip stain, the list goes on and on.

The products from the Ultraviolet collection are very “on brand” Ariana Grande. For example, At the Borderline eyeliner pencil and the Midnight Shadows eyeshadow palette. Both names are also lyrics from her songs Borderline and Be Alright.

There are ten different Interstellar highlight toppers, a couple On your collar matte lipstick and plumping gloss colors, a volumizing and lengthening Flourishing mascara, and even two different types of Midnight Shadows eyeshadows (liquid and compressed powder). Grande also has a set of false eyelashes that are in the collection called Dream lashes.

“While I enjoyed all products, my favorite of all were hands-down the dream lashes in Glow n Show. Strip lashes are an essential part of my makeup routine and these were perfect for me,” a journalist at Teen Vogue, Aiyana Ishmael, told the creators of R.E.M Beauty,

All products are under $25 at rembeauty.com. I’m excited to see what people think of the beauty line. Maybe one day I’ll have the honor of testing out the makeup, but until then I will be living vicariously through reviews and videos.
