Ryan Rolle

Ryan Rolle, Website Manager

Ryan Rolle is a junior who will be the Website Manager for the Robinights Newspaper. This is her second year on staff.son Kn

Rolle joined the Knight Writers mainly due to her love of reading and writing, as well as wanting to express her opinions to the world.

“I’ve always found joy in reading and writing; I think it’s so much fun, and I’m also very opinionated. I’ve always had people tell me that I should be a lawyer, just because I love putting my opinion out there.”

During her time on staff, Rolle found an interest in writing A&E for Knights Writers. She felt like it was the perfect opportunity for her to showcase her outlooks and emotions on several topics.

She expressed that her time on staff taught her how to work with, and help, others. It also improved her communication skills and her confidence; Rolle later said that journalism gave her the opportunity to discover both her likes and dislikes. She loves how she can express herself and leave bits of her personality in each of her writing.

Outside of Knight Writers, Rolle plays for the Robinson Varsity Basketball team. She also works with the Tampa Bay rowing team during spring. Rolle has a dog and cat named Tilly and Bella who she adores very much. Rolle stated that three things she couldn’t live without would be lip-gloss, because of the collection she has at home; Matcha, due to the number of things she uses it for; and books, because she loves to read for leisure.

Once Rolle graduates she plans on attending Boston University.

“I actually had a college tour this summer and I really liked Boston University,” Rolle said. “But if not somewhere in Boston, California is another alternative in my mind.”

Over the summer, Rolle worked as a receptionist at a law firm. After graduation, Rolle expressed that she plans to pursue a career that involves either photography or writing. She stated she wants to use her love for journalism even in the future.

“I definitely want to continue journalism, or anything, honestly, that involves writing or photography, because I love taking pictures. So, If I can continue doing that, or even screenwriting for movies…just something around writing in general or maybe even traveling just seems so fun,” Rolle said.
