When the rain came, the Knights were still out on the field with the goal of beating the Lennard Longhorns, which is just what they did. The final score of 41-12, the long game was worth it in the end.

The game, set to start at 7:30, began at around 9 pm. However, the field was not dry as the rain continued much into the third quarter.  With a fast start, the Knights kept their defense in line and managed to earn two touchdowns in the first quarter without allowing the Longhorns to score a single point.

By the second quarter, with the rain not stopping, was just as good for Robinson. They managed to score another two touch downs, but dropping their defense with the Longhorns scoring their first six points of the night. The quarter lingered longer than most quarters would, with the Knights’ coaches calling back to back timeouts. Ultimately, the halftime mark was reached with a score of 27-6.

The third quarter started with less rain and more Knightly ambition. The game sped up more and included more fast pace plays from both teams. However, the Knights did not allow Lennard to score a single point the entire quarter. While holding good defense, they managed to score another touchdown, ending quarter three 34-6.

With the final quarter underway, both teams were starting to get tired. With one touchdown from the Knights, there came another one from the Longhorns as both teams found it hard to defend from the other. The game finally came to a closing score of 41-12, a hard but well earned conclusion for the Knights.
