It’s been nine years since the last “That’s So Raven” episode premiered and Disney Channel has announced that a spin off to the childhood favorite show is in the works. On October 27, Raven-Symoné revealed on Twitter that she will return to her character, Raven Baxter, in a sequel series.

In this new spin off, Raven Baxter is divorced with two teenagers, Nia and Booker, and Nia has developed their mother’s psychic powers.

Nia is having trouble transitioning into middle school. This is made even harder when she starts getting psychic visions. She is described as bold and confident and she believes in doing what’s right. On the other hand, her younger brother, Booker, is described as innocent and sweet. He is just a kid who doesn’t want to grow up.

The show has yet to be filmed and is still in the casting stages. However, Raven-Symoné has posted a number of times on Twitter and Instagram about her excitement for this new show. There is no set release date but Raven-Symoné’s departure from The View will give her plenty of time to work on this exciting new project.
